Tiffany is a 9 year old Maltese that presented to Veterinary Emergency Care, Dr. Sauser, for a 2 1/2 week history of vomiting. Radiographs and an ultrasound showed a mass in her intestines that was causing an obstruction. She immediately underwent surgery to have the mass removed. The biopsy came back as a form of cancer called a soft tissue sarcoma. Tiffany was then transferred to Oncology where she underwent 5 rounds of chemotherapy. Tiffany will continue to recheck with our Oncology team and have ultrasounds to monitor her intestines. She is currently feeling great, and just celebrated her chemo graduation with Dr. Angelo, one of Tiffany’s Oncologists, and her technicians Dana, Shannon, and Leah. WAY TO GO TIFFANY! 😄👏🥳
