Roxanne is a tiny English Bulldog with a HUGE heart! She presented to our oncology service in September, after being diagnosed with lymphoma in June. Initially, Roxanne responded to a high dose of steroids and they helped for a short while, but her lymph nodes continued to grow. Roxanne’s diagnosis was an uncommon variant of lymphoma, characterized by a slower growth rate than some high-grade lymphomas, but also making them more resistant to traditional therapy. It has been our doctor’s experience that English Bulldogs are more likely to be diagnosed with this unusual form of lymphoma. Ultimately, Roxanne needed to undergo a course of chemotherapy to treat the cancer. She was an excellent patient who was always sweet and playful. We are so excited to announce her Chemotherapy Graduation. Way to go Roxanne and Good Luck! 😁💖👏
